The latest scooters to benefit from the popular SIP digital speedometers are the PK range of Vespa smallframes, specifically the Vespa PK50-125/S/SS/Automatica for which version 2.0 is now available.
Working with Koso, this latest SIP rev counter/speedometer is designed to look fairly standard yet still boasts features such as measuring your speed mechanically with a cable or electronically with a separate wheel sensor kit.
The speedometer needle can be used to display either speed or rpm. You can also record the total time of your journey and the average speeds for both daily stages and a whole tour, the total number of kilometres travelled, and in combination with the SIP fast flow fuel tap, with fuel reserve sensor, all Vespa models can now benefit from a fuel level warning function. And there’s a whole lot more it can offer besides.
All data recorded by the device is saved for future reference by an internal storage facility and the unit is run on 12v AC/DC and requires no battery in the electrical system of your scooter. SIP says it is also fully compatible with Vespatronic and Parmakit performance ignition systems.
All SIP speedometers are delivered including a voltage regulator, all necessary connections, a temperature sensor and full installation instructions. For further info visit www.sip-scootershop.com
