One of the two Innocenti prototype twin cylinder SX200s we extensively featured recently (see Scootering June and July 2015) had a rather sleek, unique inside legshield toolbox fitted by the factory. While this scooter was under the spanners at Rimini Lambretta Centre, the lads had moulds produced of the toolbox so they could get these remade, all of course with Vittorio Tessera’s blessing.
The beauty of this particular toolbox is that when fitted to a Lambretta, from the side-on it can hardly be seen, thus allowing the scooter to retain its original lines. While it’s not the most spacious toolbox internally, it is large enough to hold your essential riding items and what it lacks in space, it certainly makes up for in looks. Produced locally in fibreglass, the lower mounting bolts fit the bottom horncasting retaining bolts while at the top, you will need to drill a small 5mm hole for the single, top mounting bolt (hidden once fitted). Being sold under the Casa Performance banner, the toolboxes come complete with lock, keys and rubber outer trim. They are available in a limited number only and the cost is £130.
