Competition rules

These specific rules apply to the following competitions:

Global competition rules

(apply to all competitions run in Scootering magazine or on this website.)

  1. These rules include any instruction set out in the terms of the competition. By entering this competition the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and instructions and to be bound by them.
  2. Any employee of Mortons Media Group Ltd or any other person who is directly connected with this competition or their immediate family will be ineligible to enter. Persons under the age of 16 may only enter with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  3. All entries must be sent to, [competition name], Mortons Scootering Media, PO Box 99, Horncastle, Lincs, LN9 6LZ.
  4. All entries must be sent by pre-paid post and received by closing date  irrespective of the date of posting. Proof of posting will not be deemed to be proof of delivery.
  5. Any entry which is incomplete, illegible, late, registered unrecognisable in the post or otherwise does not comply, may be deemed invalid in the sole discretion of Mortons Media Group Ltd.
  6. Entries may not be written in pencil.
  7. There is no cash alternative to the prize.
  8. All entries will be examined. The prize will be awarded to the competitor with the correct answer. If there is more than one correct entry the winner will be the entrant who in the sole opinion of the panel of judges, has submitted the most original response to the tiebreaker.
  9. If a Tiebreaker is used: using no more than 20 words complete the tiebreaker. Any entires without a tiebreaker will not be valid.
  10. The winner will be notified as soon as he or she has been ascertained. The result will be published in the earliest possible issue of Scootering.
  11. Full details of the prize to be awarded will be provided to the winner at the time of notification.
  12. The prize awarded is non transferable.
  13. The editors decision on all matters affecting this competition is final and legally binding.
  14. No entries can be returned and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. For online entries, automated/bulk entries and entries from third parties will be disqualified. Only one entry per IP address is allowed. Entries not submitted using our online form will be disqualified.
